Choosing Your Arizona Auto Insurance Coverage
Sep 3rd, 2009 | By admin | Category: Auto InsuranceThis is a question that will usually get answered with a question when asking an Insurance Agent. Most times an Agent may reply, “How bad of an accident are you going to be in? When you look at it that way, there can be no way of knowing exactly how much coverage to get. The best thing you can do is get what you feel is more than enough coverage. If you cause someone to die in an auto accident, you can never have enough coverage to take care of this type of loss. If you do select high limit auto coverage you may have the option to add a 1,000,000 umbrella policy on top of your auto home package. Usually this extra coverage will only cost a couple hundred extra a year.
Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist
In most states uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is an option and not a requirement. This coverage pays for bodily injury someone causes you or your passengers in the event the other motorist has not enough insurance or no insurance. You may only get as much UM and UIM as you do bodily injury coverage under you liability coverage. So, for example if your liability coverage is 100/300/50, your UM and UIM can be as high as 100/300. If you would like additional UM/UIM you would need to increase your initial liability coverage.
