If you carry an existing policy, you will see a lower rate quote compared to if you had no coverage. To maintain that low rate we need to input this policy’s details during the auto insurance quote process. Prior coverage and expiration dates are needed during the quote process.
Vehicle Registration
Another document we need to keep a policy in force is a copy of your vehicle registration. This document not only will verify ownership, it will also help us confirm the VIN Id number of your vehicle. VIN Ids are very important during the quoting process because some vehicles have several types of the same model car. The VIN will also be on your policy declarations sheet.
Driving Records – Driving History Representation
To the very best of your knowledge, list all accidents and tickets and claims made for each person you plan to insure. Some companies we represent go back 3 years while other companies go back 5. So to cover all companies provide a document stating any claims, accidents and tickets within the last 5 years.
Note: Driving reports are generally ordered after you decide to go with a quote. As long as all report information is accurate with all information provided by you, the rate should not change. This is ordered just prior the policy being issued.
